Ascaris lumbricoides (round worm) female worm 20- 35 cm x 4-6mm (adult male 15-20cms x 2-4 mm). Fix nematodes in 10 percent formalin. Mature or immature adults may wander out of the anus spontaneously or with the faeces or wander out of the mouth or nose.
